2010 State Junior Rifle Championships Results

Congratulations to Joe Reynolds from De Pere WI for winning the four position state championship, and to his teammate Joey Sabah for winning the three position state championship.  Joey Sabah also won the Winchester Award with an aggregate score of 1351.

Another congrats goes out to the De Pere Junior Rifle team for winning the three and four position team championships.

There were a lot of new faces and sub juniors at the match this year which is always great to see.  There were also a lot of high scores which will hopefully continue to climb with more practice.  Great job, keep setting your goals high and pushing yourself to achieve them.

Congrats to all of the award winners, excellent work!

The De Pere Sportsmen's Club would like to thank all of the parents, coaches, and juniors for making the trip from all around the state.  We would also like to thank all of our parents and juniors for the help.  With out all of your help and participation this match would not be possible every year.  We look forward to having an even bigger turnout in ’11.

Hope to see you then!!!

Wisconsin Junior Olympic Match

The junior rifle team has started their part of  the season where they are involved in a number of matches.  The most current match was the Wisconsin Junior Olympic match.  Crystal Reynolds won the smallbore match and also took the women's air rifle match.  She shot a qualifying score to earn her a spot to shoot in the Junior Olympic Nationals at the Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  We had a few other juniors that shot well, and we are waiting to see if they will receive and invite.

A team of twelve will travel to Oshkosh in February to compete in the Wisconsin smallbore and air rifle sectional.  March will be a very busy month with five matches scheduled including hosting the Wisconsin State Juniors Championship the last weekend of March.

We are looking forward to all the opportunities that these young marksman will have.
